Living in a 3-bedroom semi-detached bungalow in the urban area of Stapleton in Leicester, Mr Wilson was looking to make his property more environmental by powering his homes heating and hot water via renewable energy.

After finding out about Hero Renewables through on of our pages on google, where he found out about domestic heat pump and decided to take him desire for the system further by making an enquiry to speak to one of our team members for a free consultation.

After speaking to Mr Wilson on the phone, he wanted to book in a site survey on his property so that we could access which products would best suit his home.

Once Mr Wilson’s project manager visited the home, he proposed that an 8.5kW air source heat pump combined with an on-roof solar PV system would be most beneficial for the home due to the home’s heating and energy demands and measurement taken from the renewable expert.

Mr Wilson agreed that the combination of an air source heat pump with a PV system would be great for the home but asked for the solar PV system to be on hold until the new year. Our engineers went forward with the installation of the heat pump system and installed an 8.5kW Mitsubishi Ecodan heat pump outdoor unit onto the side of the property with an FTC5 Controller and a 150-Litre unvented hot water cylinder.

Once our team installed, tested and commissioned the heat pump unit, it meant that Mr Wilson was able to create hot water and produce heating in his home through the use of renewable energy.
