Air Source Heat Pump and Underfloor Heating

Mitsubishi Ecodan

Property Type:

Domestic, Retrofit

Mr Page contacted Hero Renewables to design, supply, install and commission a Renewable Alternative for his home in Shrewsbury.  After talking to Mr Page on the phone a site survey was booked, where his dedicated project manager worked out the space available for a system, annual heat demand, customer budget amongst other information needed to provide Mr Page with a comprehensive feasibility study. Once he was provided with an initial quotation, Mr Page decided to take his first steps into the renewable world by agreeing for the project to move forward.

Once the site survey was conducted, our team found that an 5kW Mitsubishi Ecodan air source heat pump would be the perfect renewable match for the property. Our engineers got to work on the home in the summer of 2015, where they installed the system outside of the home, meaning that Mr Page can now claim on the renewable heat incentives whilst saving money on his annual utility bills.

Mr Pages new Air source heat pump was fitted to the exterior of his property, which was situated on anti-vibration mounts. The flow and return pipes ran from the eaves to the cylinder, with the heat pump connected to a 250-litre unvented hot water cylinder, allowing Mr Page to heat his home and generate hot water all year found, fossil free. In addition to installing the air source heat pump, our engineers also installed underfloor heating on the ground floor and new radiators on the first floor of the home, allowing Mr Page to maximise the heat around his property and to give the home the highest efficiency.

Have you ever been without heating or hot water on a cold winter night as your boiler has broken down?

Then an Air Source Heat Pump could be perfect for your property, as not only will they save you money on your monthly utility bills and help the environment, they can harvest a unique return on investment unlike any other. For investing in an Air Source Heat Pump, you will be able to claim Renewable Heat Incentive payments that last 7 years in a domestic dwelling.
