24 Apr Heat Pump Renewable Heat Incentive’s payments set to continue until 2021
The Governments Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) for heat pumps is set to continue until at least 2021 with the added benefit that new installation RHI payments are currently at their highest levels, but which heat pump is best for you?
RHI pays homeowners or business through the amount of renewable heat that is generated from your Heat Pump, be it Ground Source or Air Source. You can receive up to 7 year’s worth of quarterly payments for Domestic users, be that homeowners or self-builders.
The Renewable Heat Incentive tariffs –
|Technology||RHI Tariff (P/kWh) *|
|Air Source Heat Pump||10.71|
|Ground Source Heat Pump||20.89|
*01/04/19 – 30/06/19
The subsidy payments you receive can vary over the 7-year period dependant on which heat pump you install. An Air source Heat Pump could earn up to £11 000 where as a Ground Source Heat Pump could earn around £32 000 in subsidy payments, quite a difference.
So, what would your subsidy payment be, and most importantly which heat pump is most suitable for you?
